Shop Around

With its interconnected terminals, you can easily bop around to shops in all terminals and pick up some souvenirs. Newsstands, travel stores, tech shops, pharmacies, etc are spread throughout all the three terminals. Miami-based stores include Books & Books, Havana Collection, which sells airy tropical clothing, and the Prive Gourmet Market, located in The Shoppes at Ocean Drive.

MIA offers free Wi-Fi to its passengers via the Airport network “MIA-WiFi”. Access with advertising is free or you may purchase Standard Service without advertising or Premium Service without advertising. If you are not travelling with a mobile device, there are public internet workstations (printers also available) on the 7th floor, and also in the Lobby Bar of the Miami International Airport Hotel in Concourse E on the Departure Level of the main terminal.

1. Take a Stroll along The Ocean Drive:, Walking down the Ocean Drive, you will notice art deco buildings that symbolize Miami’s heyday, The Park Central Hotel and the Imperial still stand strong since the 1920s. Visiting the Art Deco District Welcome Center is the best place to start this stroll.
2. Visit Little Havana :,As the hub for all this Cuban in this fantastically multicultural city, a few hours strolling through the neighbourhoods is sure to add extra flavour to your layover. Top sights include the main street – Calle Ocho – and the Walkway of Stars, which celebrates Latin American celebrities. An extra benefit of Little Havana is that of all the sites listed, this one is closest to the airport.
3. Visit the Wynwood Art Walk : If you happen to be in Miami on a second Saturday, you should definitely visit the Wynwood Art Walk. The free public event is an evening block party with food trucks, music, people-watching and plenty of graffiti art to see in the neighborhood of Wynwood.
4. Take an Airboat tour : This activity will require at least 8 hours layover time. The Everglades National Park arranged Airboat tours on the vash swamplands and marsh prairies that extend throughout South Florida, with plenty of wildlife to see, including alligators, crocodiles, birds, and manatees.
