AI-Powered Baggage System: Delta is now using an AI platform that helps prioritize luggage with tight connections. With more than 87,000 bags handled daily, this system helps reduce delays and ensures smoother transfers for passengers.
Autonomous Ground Equipment: The airline is testing autonomous jet bridges that dock automatically and self-driving bag tugs on Concourse B and within cargo areas. These innovations aim to improve safety and maintain consistent operations around the aircraft.
