- Self-Baggage Drop (SBD) Counters
Passengers can now check in their luggage independently at new SBD counters, aimed at cutting down long queues and speeding up the boarding process.
- Autonomous Docking Aerobridges
Six new aerobridges featuring autonomous docking technology have been installed—a first in India—to ensure faster and safer aircraft boarding.
- Modernized Interiors
The terminal now sports a brighter, more spacious look with upgraded ceilings, skylight features, and durable new flooring to enhance passenger comfort.
- Upgraded Infrastructure
Significant mechanical and electrical improvements, including advanced HVAC systems, upgraded fire safety measures, and a more reliable power network, ensure smoother operations.
- Next-Gen Flight Information Displays
A high-resolution Flight Information Display System (FIDS) will provide real-time, accurate flight updates for better passenger convenience.
Enhanced Accessibility Improved signage and upgraded facilities for passengers with reduced mobility (PRM) have been integrated throughout the terminal. Refurbished Airside and Apron Aircraft parking and service areas have also been modernized to handle increased flight operations more efficiently.
With these upgrades, Terminal 2 is expected to deliver a more seamless travel experience while supporting Delhi Airport’s growing passenger capacity.
