London, UK: Heathrow Airport’s Terminal 4 has officially reopened after being temporarily closed on Monday due to a suspected hazardous materials scare.
Authorities ordered the evacuation of Terminal 4 after reports of a potential hazardous substance inside the terminal. Emergency services, including police, firefighters, and medical teams, were immediately deployed to the site.
Following thorough checks and safety assessments, officials confirmed that no hazardous materials were found, allowing the terminal to reopen safely.
Around 20 people were assessed by paramedics for minor health complaints during the incident. Fortunately, none of these cases were serious or life-threatening. While the temporary closure caused brief disruption, airport authorities worked quickly with airlines to minimize delays and resume flight operations.
Heathrow Airport has issued an apology for the inconvenience caused to travelers and assured passengers that safety remains its highest priority. All other terminals at Heathrow continued to operate normally during the event.
Passengers flying from Terminal 4 are advised to stay in touch with their airlines for the latest flight information and schedule updates.
