NOIDA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT SET FOR DECEMBER 2025 LAUNCH

Jodogo Airport Assist Services

Inauguration & Operations

The Noida International Airport (NIA) is gearing up for its grand inauguration on October 30. Commercial flight services are expected to begin within 45 days of the launch, making the airport operational by December 2025. A major milestone was achieved recently when the project secured airside security clearance from the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS), an essential step before the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) grants the final aerodrome license.

CAT-III Capability

NIA is being developed with CAT-III compliance from its very first phase. This advanced system will enable aircraft to operate safely in low-visibility conditions, especially during the heavy fog that disrupts air travel in North India every winter. The calibration and approval process for this system is currently in progress.

Airlines & Destinations

In the initial phase, the airport will focus on domestic passenger and cargo operations. Talks are underway to connect NIA with at least ten Indian cities, including key hubs such as Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru. IndiGo is set to become the launch carrier, while Akasa Air has also signed an agreement to begin operations. The airport has officially been assigned the IATA code DXN.

Infrastructure & Readiness

Construction of the airport’s major infrastructure — including the runway, Air Traffic Control (ATC) tower, and cargo terminal — is already complete. The facility has now entered the Operational Readiness and Airport Transfer (ORAT) stage, where systems such as baggage handling, check-in counters, and security checks are undergoing intensive trials to ensure a smooth passenger experience from day one.
