The shape of DEN, and why it matters

Denver's layout is unusual. The main building — the Jeppesen Terminal, the one with the white peaked roof — contains check-in, security and baggage claim, but almost no gates.

The gates are on three separate concourses, physically detached from the terminal and from each other, connected by an underground automated train. Concourse A also has a pedestrian bridge. B and C do not — the train is the only way.
