When Air Martinique existed, its headquarters was located on the airport property. The runway is of a length that can accommodate large jets, including 747s from France. On at least two occasions, the Concorde flew from Paris and landed at the airport in Martinique.

Passenger facilities include police, customs, baggage claim, pharmacy, vaccination bureau, handicap facilities, tobacconist, bank, money changing, souvenir shops, tax-free shopping, gift shop, florist, hairdresser, car rentals, taxi, parking, restaurants, cafés and bars, and two hotels (Hôtel La Galléria and Hôtel Valmenière).

In 2019, Martinique Aimé Césaire International Airport registered 2,050,030 passengers. It is the second busiest airport in the Antilles after Guadeloupe Airport.

Martinique Aimé Césaire International Airport is certified as a 3-Star Airport for facilities, comfort, cleanliness, shopping, food & beverages, staff service and security / immigration.

“The airport is undergoing change and expansion, which will hopefully improve the current facilities which are lacking for an international airport. A shortage of seating landside and poor comfort seating airside combines with a lack of any seat power options. Shopping and food and beverage options are very limited.”
